The Real Karl Schwarz and an Apology
I feel that I erroneasly impugned Mr. Karl Scchwarz's business integrity in a prior post.
First Message form Karl Schwarz:Sorry to burst your BUBBLE, but I am Karl W. B. Schwarz and you are not. Patmos Nanotechnologies, LLC is a holding company of over 30 different companies and has no need for a "domain" that you just wasted your money on. Each of those 30 companies is directly involved in nanotechnology that are dependent on highly pure carbon nanotubes, which is a niche heavily dominated by Patmos holdings patents (in other names so don't waste time or money on other domains).
We are installing a $4 billion (product production volume, not costs to build) carbon nanotube manufacturing plant right now and do not advertise even where that is at this time. One of our competitors is CNI of Houston which is in part owned by Kellogg Brown & Root, so figure it out as to not being on the radar.
They are having fits trying to figure me out, and if they cannot, neither can you.
E*Capbank had raised $1.6 billion to acquire Viatel, Ebone, WCG and GX and that deal died on a conference call between myself, UBS Warburg, and Arab investors from Dubai, Dubai Internet City, Amman, Bahrain and Riyadh. It died when the second plane hit the South Tower of WTC and all parties ended the conf call.
GlobalAxxess was the only Global VAR of UUNet, out of the 15 VARs that UUNet had. Not hardly a "shell company" as you suggest - but was OFFSHORE and GLOBAL, if you get that. When WCOM bought the company and the WCOM fraud surfaced, we renamed it to COMMAXXESS to distance ourselves from that fraud, since we have nothing to do with it.
Yes, I live in Little Rock, AR, yes I am the author of the demand letter that went to George W. Bush but is also went to Kerry and DNC and all of them reeled backwards.
See www.summeroftruth.org and find my name and the PPT link. Get informed as to what I presented to the audience in NYC on 9-11. Brought the house down and it will soon be available in DVD, including the PPT if you would take the time to look at it.
See onlinejournal.com and stay tuned to that site. Three more articles coming that will ruin many days in DC.
I also have 2 other holding companies but keep most of my business and personal affairs private.
Will not be living in Arkansas much longer due to business and personal affairs, again - private.
Have a good weekend Kelly and don't burst a brain circuit trying to figure me out.
I am presenting the truth and many have a problem with that. You seem to understand the gravity on what I am saying and it means everything to all of us. Our nation is at stake and our freedoms.
Second Message form Karl Schwarz:
All technologies have good and evil uses and I should not have to explain to you which way I choose.
My companies are affilaited with 2 government labs and we do only what is right. We have many universities lined up to do collaborative IP R&D with us, again, only what is right.
I am a recognized expert on photonics, that is what led to nanotech rather than MEMS. Was into 1.5 petabit per second core routers before the other telecoms even heard of them. My dealing with the Middle East was not fashionable with DC for I see a flaw in our economic and foreign policies. One cannot let our Financial Terrorists run amuck through this world for their benefit and leave nothing behind but hopelessness. Sooner or later that breeds hatred, and voila, we have what we see now.
We intended to level the playing field and include the Islamic world this time. DC did not like that. The "why" of it is rather problematic and structural with a certain family in DC that thinks the oil kingdom is theirs alone.
Check out Richard W. Behan, The GOP Inc, a friend of mine and have to admit - a Liberal friend of mine. He describes them a Movement Conservatives in his piece on ProgressiveTrail.org. I call them Financial Terrorist and in my book I name them, what they do, how they do it.
Bottom line - they have sold all of us out, both sides of the aisle.
You can well imagine how unfashionable it is to DC to have an RNC insider that spent 1994 election night with RNC Finance (the Team 100, big league insiders) and in 1996 told them to stick the "Contract with America" when he had enough inside information to know with certainty that it was a "Contract ON America".
All about the Corporatization of the U.S. government" and that is by sheer definition Fascism. That is why I pulled out and went The American Way.
The book will be available soon via www.rbnlive.com, or Republic Broadcast Network. I was surprised that Matthew had something to say to you on this arcane site, albeit a good site.
Do stay tuned to www.onlinejournal.com. The DC "acid stomach" is about to commence.
If you think what I have disclosed thus far is a wild fire, the next round is thermonuclear. Many will resign, many will hide in shame, some will probably commit suicide.
After my post yesterday, John Fund's attorneys were begging to settle within 6 hours after news hit. That is the power of the truth.
It is way past time that America flushed the toilet in DC.
My response:
In an age of cynicism, we enter autopilot mode when encountered with something that seems too good to be true. If it seems to good, it cannot possibly be legitimate. I want to believe that I am above all that, that I have no prejudices. I am fortunate to have traveled and experienced cultures in more countries than I can count on my fingers and toes, and a significant portion of the United States as well. I am fascinated by the differences, commonalities and misperceptions among communities. And while skin color, religious beliefs, sexuality, socio-economic status, tattoos and piercings do not interfere with my relationships among my fellow humans on this planet, one experience in my past has created a sense of mistrust of…there’s a word for it, but I do not recall it… certain business people.
A decade ago, I became acquainted with a man who could convince you the moon was made of stinky, green cheese and sell you a pound of it. He was a suave, sophisticated, brilliant 70 year-old entrepreneur, holding hundreds of patents and CEO of a few avionics companies. He made so many promises that never came to fruition financially, but there was always an excuse. I think everyone he ever came into contact with knew they were being conned, but he was crazy and charming, and on brief – very brief - occasions, successful financially. He asked to store some documents at our house, as he needed access to them during a move to another state. He asked for all sorts of things – please register this domain, file this application for a corporation, or fill out this application to create a holding company. “Tell me what your expenses are and I’ll send you a check.”
Needless to say, the check never came. Nor did he make arrangements to pick up the twenty or so boxes stored in the corner of the living room. He did call to say he was negotiating this deal or that, but by that time it was obvious that there was no positive outcome of the relationship. The boxes were not sealed, so we snooped. All the corporations, trusts, holding companies, patent applications existed. However, upon examination of some of the receipts, a pattern emerged. He (and his wife) would obtain financial backing and dump start-up capital into lavish trips to Vegas, shopping sprees at Neiman’s, five-star European holidays…. The business would go under, he would sucker someone else into a complicated stock swap scheme and begin a new venture. He was a colossal train wreck, turning people’s lives upside down. He had the Midas touch with the polarity reversed. Despite this, he had honorable intentions and desperately wanted a success in his final years. Fortunately, he only made a brief appearance in my life, but the stories of his interactions with others (learned after the fact) would make a too-weird-to-be-true work of fiction. He always used his middle initials in his name, which was of Germanic origin.
Agh! I don’t even like to think of the man. The checking account only suffered by a few hundred dollars in miscellaneous expenses, but it was worth the lesson for a couple of twentysomethings.
When I couldn’t find any information on Mr. Schwarz, the first thing that came to my mind was the brilliant, busted businessman I had met in the past. I was immediately disillusioned. It was too good to be true. Patmos Nanotechnolgies didn’t exist, and in this day and age, everyone and everything has a presence on the web. People have web pages devoted to their pets! A big portion of all government documents were public until Herr Ashcroft and Herr Bush decided that “We the People” are a bunch of terrorists and removed huge portions of previously public information from public viewing. There is no way a business can hide, and if they are hiding, then perhaps it is an intelligence operation. In hindsight, I should have just called him, but as I explained to Mr. Schwarz in a late-night e-mail, I was frightened by his charm. I felt that if I were to speak or write to him, I would be sucked into a melodrama written in the past. Also, maybe I wouldn't write down my concerns, which I feel were legitimate regardless of whether my fears proved correct.
Mr. Schwarz has graciously explained his business experience, which has shades of “it’s too good to be true” written all over it, but it really is true – and fascinating. I am not printing his personal e-mails to me, as I can now certainly understand his desire for privacy, but he is free to reproduce it as he sees fit. And anyone going up against KB&R has my utmost wishes to put that slimy company (that friends work for – sorry about that) out of business and the top executives in jail for treason and crimes against humanity. I hear there are cells available at Abu Ghraib.
Coupled with the inability to find any information on Patmos or Global Axxess, my experience with the business typhoon (leaving a path of destruction in his wake), my paranoia about counterintelligence operatives in the peace movement, a tension headache from the debate between Tweedle Smart and Tweedle Dumb, e-mails to friends outside of the US asking if political asylum is possible if Bush steals the election, fake polls and inane quotes praising Dubbya for his performance in the debate, three new homeless people hanging out by the highway overpass, the debt limit vote delayed until after the election, more dead men in Iraq, the bullet ridden corpse of a little Palestinian child one her way to school, reports of shredded voter registration forms and voting machine failures, the mysteries of the 1918 Spanish Flu “resolved” during what appears an almost planned vaccine shortage, reports of the US and Israel attacking Iran from a website that has mysteriously disappeared after a year plus on-line, and reading the lies of idiots who are trying to lure all the high school kids into joining an organization that is committing crimes against humanity on a daily basis – but don’t worry, kid, if you engage in acts of torture you will probably be promoted and as you grow black mushrooms on your thighs and your kids are born with gross deformities from your exposure to the radioactive waste of illegal weapons in a useless attempt to bring armed democracy to the people, just remember that you are defending the United States of America, and all the other depressing news of the day, I became overly suspicious. It’s hard to find good in the world some days, and if something is too good to be true, it probably is. It doesn’t excuse posting about him without more information, but it is an explanation. I jumped to the wrong conclusion about Mr. Schwarz, and I apologize for my biting sarcasm.
I do not believe in coincidences – I believe in synchronicity. The key is to figure out the benefit of our interactions with each other and our environment. In other words, this happened for a reason, even if I don't understand the benefit at the moment. While I feel I was not nice in accusing Mr. Schwarz of being someone other than he professed to be, I do not feel bad about investigating these inconsistencies, even if it wasn’t the most thorough job. I take perverse pleasure in playing the role of devil’s advocate, as I think it’s the only way to discover the truth, although truth is merely a perception. I’ll stop with that Jungian thought before this becomes seven pages of existentialism.
While I understand why Mr. Schwarz did not feel the need to register the domain names, in the age of the Internet, it is a wise thing to do. Plenty of nefarious types can register a domain and put up disinformation, or more often, porn and other sleazy sites. It’s cheap and no need to create a parked page if the company is just a holding company. I have received a lot of private e-mails from people saying they had the same question, “Why not register the domains?” I was not the only person to find it odd, especially for a technology company.
In my late-night ramblings to Mr. Schwarz, I mentioned the frustration I felt. He mentioned that many people were making plans to leave the US if Bush steals the election. What does that say about Bush? That people are willing to leave their friends, family and country to escape the man and his policies? And the people leaving are the smart ones. They see what is going on. They know something’s about to hit the proverbial fan. What happens with the mass exodus of the intelligentsia? Where will the creative ideas emerge that are necessary to repair the physical and economic infrastructure of the country? I know twelve people personally who will move with a Bush “win”. I have read blogs indicating a whole lot of people have the same idea.
Well, I shall put this to rest. Please buy Mr. Schwarz’s book, “One Way Ticket to Crawford” when it is published, or at least borrow it from a friend if you are one of the unemployed or underemployed affected by the fascist corruption of US society. Send a copy of his demand letter to everyone you know. The only way to stop the corruption is an informed society.
I apologize for coming to the wrong conclusion about Karl Schwarz’s background. We have much to learn from him.
Dear Kelly~
I am not sure what to say regarding this post. My mouth is on the floor. You stumbled upon something I think is very important for people to know.... In a round about way, you made a point that you can't believe everything you read. This humble and honest friend is a bit frightened by this post. Unfortunately, there is not much I can do but link it to mine...{I would only do that if you think it would be OK}with hopes that someone, among my readers, might make heads or tails of this incredible story.
You have shown with this courageous post... one of the reasons why I continue to read. Once again you made me think.

Whew, I have to say that your explanation has alot of traction with me, I know around 5 people who are now making plans to leave the USA going so far as to close a business and sell a home with all belongings.
While things got a bit testy during your investigation I don't think it really crossed the boundaries of honest debate. Questions themselves will show what the suspicions are, but they are 'just' questions and they are out there for answers. You accomplished that.

When I first received the "Demands to Bush .." letter from a friend here in Europe I had the same reaction as everybody.. who is that guy who seems to have inside information? and I was thankful for all the great research on the web so that I could stop doing my own. Yes Karl Schwarz seems smart an informed but when you have no way to crosscheck an information you have to rely on the author credibility. After reading the " who is Schwarz & nanotechnologies" post - my faith was low. Then I red the "the real Schwarz and an apology" and a whole spy novel started dancing in my head. If it make sense that someone who claims coming from the "deep state" and is preparing to spill the beads would want to avoid being a target why then would he be using his real identity if he does not want to be figured out by us regular people ? isn't going on the web about convincing the general public who does not knows most of the names in his story? Besides whoever would have the power to hurt him probably already knows everything about his venues. The problem with the conspiracy theories is that it never ends. What if the deconstructing investigation post was only there to validate Karl Schwarz assertions in the end as in "the spy who came from the cold" by John Le Carré. That does not means the facts are not true and it would fair enough if that what it takes to wake up America who for the rest of the world seems to be living an hypnotic historical madness. Right after 9/11 a book came out about the imposture of the official US version. Even in France it was quickly dismissed as a phony conspiracy theory. The troubling thing was that Pierre Pean the author had a strong reputation in the journalist community and was working with the much respected Club Voltaire geopolitics think tank. Why in the world would he have taken the risk to ruin his reputation writing such a book unless he thought he had real information from his "deep-throat". Maybe feeding a media target with tales so far off the wall that it could not fly was the only way to comfort the official version ? Let alone the background issue yet to be resolve this makes a lot of question marks and in the end I tend to agree that we might have something to learn from Karl Schwarz.

I found this thread from a post on the johnkerry.com forum where Mr. Schwarz, his demand letter and book are being discussed. I too tried to discern who Mr. Schwarz is and what his credentials might be.
What I have read and seen so far is far reaching. He confirmed my thought on an energy company that I asked about. I have since found others that meet similar criteria. Needless to say, the web of deceit, fraud and murder knows no bounds with these people.
I have come to the realization that his true identity may be revealed when the book is published and he is in a safe and very undisclosed location.
Stay safe, Mr. Schwarz!

I dont give a stuff who you are Mr Schwarz, you are asking the right questions. Keep it up, there are 300 million Americans who are not asking the questions that should be asked and it distresses the rest of the world.

Maxfield has it right in saying that the problem with conspiracy theories is that they never end. As one who has tried to decifer what is going on in the world I have almost come to the conclusion that the facts are vitrually unknowable and probably are even unknown 'in toto' by the people who are pulling the strings. How would you like to be one of those few (100's, 1000's?) elite megawealthy people who themselves are probably trying constantly to guess who among them has secondary motives and is gaming them. It all leads to near paranoia at my level and almost certainly their level also. My only hope is that some of this matter at hand with Mr. Schwartz is genuine and will have some positive effect on this, apparently, evil world we live in.
Haven't given up the fight but see a big right hand coming.

I actually happened to spend this summer vacation on the Greek island of Patmos. This is maybe why I got intrigued by the Karl Schwarz background search in the first place but then I got carried away trying to be rational about it. Patmos is really a beautifull place untouch by mass tourism because the monks own most of the island. A crowd of cool wealthy intellectuals, celebrities and royalties have winter houses in Hora the town around the monastery. It is a low key resort and that what they come for. They is no airport but highspeed satelite internet and helicopter service are available. The fact is that Patmos main atraction is the Monastery of the Apocalypse where Saint John the apostle went in exile after the death of the Christ and where he wrote the "Book of Revelation". There is also the Grotta of the Apocalyspe where the Christ appeared to him. It seems to me that this lead fit rather well with the Christian background and tends to prove that the "revelation" attitude was already there when choosing the name of the nanotechnologies company.

Patmos is really a beautifull place untouch by mass tourism because the monks own most of the island. There is a mix crowd of cool intellectuals, rich aristocrats and celebrities and some have winter houses in Hora ta prsitinl Greek medieval town around the high mount of the monastery. It is a low key resort and that what they come for. They is no airport but highspeed satelite internet and helicopter service are available. The fact is that Patmos main atraction is the Monastery of the Apocalypse created after Saint John the apostle went there in exile following the martyre of the Christ and where he wrote the "Book of Revelation". There is also the Grotta of the Apocalyspe where the Christ appeared to him to give the revelation and where his relics are kept. This lead fit well the Christian background information and indicate that when choosing the name of his mysterious nanotechnologies company Karl Scharwz was already thinking about a book of apocalyptic revelations. The irony is that even Saint John's book of Apolcalypse was questioned in his time as several other books had been writen on the subject. It was finally choosen as the Christian truth three hundred years later by a Vatican Concile. I downloaded the powerpoint presentation of Karl Schawrz and it is very impressive but a good novel writer with internet could do it. Look at the Da Vinci Code best seller. It got enough people fooled to organize trip to Paris to check the facts only to find out that nothing add up and even the main idea was taken from an old novel. Maybe a Concile at the Supreme Court will tell us what is the American truth. Meanwhile I feel bad to be such a smarthoolic because as my friends and many other have said Karl Schwarz revelations are good enough for me because I want Bush out so bad. That's called faith and it's the base of politics but I would rather believe some clever Ouzo drinking hippy from Patmos than a high power CEO of a nanobigbrother holding.

I have read with great interest
Karl Schwartz' demand letter to
President GWB...I have emailed

is 100,000.000 Iraqi lives enough...
or do you wish for more to be sacrificed...
And for the record... that number
does not include the lives lost due to
our sanctions... Children America...
Do you hear me... Children! And now
you are brazenly slaughtering them...
And you think with Gods'blessings?...
Did those sanctions punish Saddam?...
The sweetheart of Rumsfeld...
Bush SR.... Chaney...This is insane!...
This cannot be the nation I grew up in...
The home of the brave...
I've been wondering lately... Maybe
I have never really understood my
country and it's sick game of Politics
along with it's Pernicious Agendas...
"World Domination"...
I have known... loved and respected
many of my countrymen over the years...
They could not be a part of this atrocity... Could they?... Enough America!...
Enough blood has been shed

Suspicion is OK. Even good sometimes.
Let's try to not be so suspicious of our lying government that we are overy suspicious of those who would question it.
Our biggest concern with Karl is that he's so very quick to dismiss the possibility that holograms were used to visually cloak smaller aircraft on 9/11 (click "web wanderer" link to the military technology, and then wonder why Aussies can admit that they have it and USA can't...).

You were right to go by your instincts:
Karl Schwarz: Unfortunate Son
by "Madame Karnak"
June 2, 2005
Note from YYC: Soon after I wrote my questions about Karl Schwarz "Who is Karl Schwarz...", I was contacted by an American woman who offered to do some interviews and research and write it up for me. The article below is the result of her considerable efforts. I have verified the identity of this person, her address, her phone number, and even her driver's licence number, and have talked with her at length on the telephone. Unfortunately, neither she nor anyone of the long list of sources who contributed information for this article wants to be publicly named. They all feel that Karl Schwarz is "vindictive" and want nothing more to do with him.
The author has sent me many more supporting documents than are included here, and anyone wishing to see any of the documents should feel free to email me and I will send them to you.
The pen name she has chosen is of course a take-off on one of the late Johnny Carson's comic personae, but this woman is dead serious about the necessity to prevent Karl Schwarz from gaining any kind of leadership of the legitimate 9-11 truth movement and thus destroying its credibility. Anyone who is interested in contacting this author about future articles (for which she will no doubt give her real name) should feel free to email me, and I will forward all requests to the author.
AMERICAN HEARTLAND---May 27, 2005—What does one call a man who has spent the greater part of his life luring people to invest in schemes that never work out? More charitable people might say that Karl was a dreamer or a Walter Mitty type.
Some might call him a grifter, others might call him a hustler and still others, a con man. Regardless, the one thing that Americans cannot afford to call him is President. It would not be a change for the better. Very much like the current President, Karl Wilhelm Schwarz hasn’t had a successful business. His dreams and stories have always outstripped his realities. Unlike Dubya, Karl did not use those dreams cynically. He believed that he could make his dreams into reality.
At least, it appears that he did in the beginning. Karl Wilhelm Schwarz, also known as Bill Schwarz, also known more recently as Karl W.B. Schwarz, was born on May 1, 1951, to a blue collar family in Arkansas. His father, Norris Schwarz, abandoned Karl and his two siblings, Robert and Viki, when Karl was only 9. For weeks, the slight, blue-eyed boy sat on his porch waiting for his dad to come home.
His mother, Robbie, with the help of his grandmother, raised the three kids by herself. Much like her son, Robbie was a dreamer. She dreamed of instant riches, compulsively gambling and squandering the family’s meager assets. Furtively borrowing from her mother’s savings earned in the local sewing factory, Robbie managed to stay just ahead of her creditors. Finally, Robbie remarried and the family had stability for a while.
Robbie’s new husband was James Dickson. They would have a child together, James Jr. Karl was close to his stepfather and supported him through legal troubles that incarcerated Jim Dickson when Karl was a young man.
Exceptionally bright, and gifted with a near photographic memory, Karl learned quickly. He attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville for three years, but did not graduate. Instead, anxious to get out and make money, Karl took an exam that gave him an architecture license without a diploma.
The state architect licensing board reported that: “Karl Wilhelm Schwarz was licensed as an architect in Arkansas on February 22, 1982. His license to practice in Arkansas was revoked due to failure to renew his registration July 31, 1985. He would not be eligible to become licensed in Arkansas as an architect because Arkansas now requires a five (5) year degree in architecture.”
With his architecture license as an entrée, Karl associated himself with three other men of the firm, Turner, Dyer and Alessi. He quickly came up with a scheme to build a “slack water harbor” in Helena, Arkansas. For those unfamiliar with this term, “slackwater” harbors are large ditches dug from deep rivers to a specific point inland. The idea is to give a city without a seaport, access to over water transportation. While this might have been a great idea in the days of the mighty riverboats, it hasn’t been the big industry or tourist attraction it often is sold as.
Convinced that his idea would create a tourist attraction, generate new industry and lots of cash for everyone, Karl raised money from everybody that he knew and from anybody that anyone else knew. Relentlessly charming and industrious, Karl persuaded his sister’s husband’s father’s friends to invest. Member of large Italian families from New York, those friends of inlaws gave Karl about $300,000. One hundred thousand came from local affluent families; about $200,000 came in from friends, and a trusting banker at the Worthen Bank lent Karl around $100,000. The money went quickly. $90,000 on a feasibility study, a salary for Karl, options on land that might be profitably developed, offices and entertainment of clients.
Even the Arkansas Times ran a story in 1983 on Karl and his amazing plan.
For a couple of years, things looked rosy mostly because ignorance can be bliss. Secretive by nature, Karl managed to keep his investors from discovering the disarray in the project. By 1985, it was clear that the harbor wasn’t happening. The Worthen bank called their note.
Typical of traditional Southerners, this had been a handshake deal. When the trusting, elderly banker learned that the loan couldn’t be repaid, his heart seized. He died. Others were ruined. They lost their savings, investment properties and their homes. Some interviewees asked that their names not be mentioned either because remembering the deal’s repercussions was too painful or because remembering how a friend fleeced them cut too deeply for words.
Within his personal life, Karl was as secretive and chaotic as his business. Married young to Lois Love, by 1985, they had a young son, Ryan who was the apple of his mother’s eye. Lois had problems conceiving because of her anorexia-bulimia. When she controlled her need to purge enough to be able to conceive, she was overjoyed. While Lois reveled in motherhood, Karl was frequently gone. At first, he was out working investors in the slackwater harbor. Then he took up hunting or at least that is what he told Lois although he seldom brought home any game. Finally, it became clear that something else was going on. Karl was hunting, but not deer.
He was pursuing a woman, Marilyn McDougald Moody. Karl has called her “the love of my life” to many people who have corresponded with him via email. Lois asked Karl whether he wanted to work on their marriage or give up. He moved out the next day. A week or so after Karl’s departure, Randy Lee Moody, Marilyn’s husband phoned. He was trying to collect on a hot check of Karl’s. Comparing notes, Randy and Lois discovered that Karl’s “hunting trips” appeared to coincide with Marilyn’s overnight visits at girlfriends or “out of town” forays.
Randy and Lois became friends through this difficult time. Later they would marry and sue Karl for unpaid child support. Karl and Lois’s divorce battle turned bitter quickly. There are over 12 years of court records reflecting the blood-soaked turf of child custody, child molestation allegations, property divisions and much more.
Howard Lovy’s Nanobot blog, Portland Indymedia Blog and PicassoDreams have run queries and located the voluminous court records available. Attorneys on both sides suggest that the depositions, replete with tales of a CIA/mob connection, and various other “fantasies” were entertaining, but factually impaired.
When Karl was ordered to quitclaim a piece of property to Lois, he made out a quitclaim to an incorrect address and then attempted to unload the property by forging Lois’s name. This resulted in another lawsuit against Karl and could have landed him in jail. But, like so many of Karl’s adventures, when admonished about the illegality of his actions, he blamed the situation on other people.
Throughout the peregrinations of fortune that Karl experienced, he failed to pay the $35 a week pittance ordered as child support. Even when he was flush, Karl did not pay $140 a month to maintain his son. Eventually, after the arrears reached $6,000, Karl was sent to the county jail by a judge who called him a sociopath before sentencing him.
While in jail, a church with a fundamentalist orientation sent members to visit Karl and even lent him a car when he left. Perhaps praying to get out of jail with these church members is where Karl began what he has described as his prison ministry in his book, “One Way Ticket to Crawford.”
For 12 years after the harbor fiasco, Karl dodged creditors and set up other businesses that failed. In 1987, he created a “digital video business” under Marilyn Moody Schwarz’s name with Thurman B. Patterson as the only other officer.
Marilyn and her two children fared no better than Karl’s son Ryan in that he did just about as well supporting them as he did his son. Their lives were filled with chaos and poverty. Karl and Marilyn filed for bankruptcy in1992. The following citations of this case are taken from the PACER online federal court information system.
4:92-bk-41522 Karl Wilhelm Schwarz and Marilyn Schwarz
Case type: bk Chapter: 7 Asset: No Vol: v Judge: Mary Davies.Scott
Date filed: 06/17/1992 Date discharged: 09/15/1994
The records show that the bankruptcy was discharged near the end of 1994. Karl moved the family to Maryland to start over, but quickly became embroiled in yet another get rich quick scheme. From what can be pieced together, Karl convinced a number of investors to pool money to lease or option an office building that the GSA indicated interest in buying.
When the GSA bought the building directly from the owner, Karl sued. When the case was dismissed in Maryland as groundless, Karl and Marilyn returned home to Little Rock.
Again, my thanks to the blogs who have done the research.
Back in Little Rock, Karl purchased a 5,000 square foot house in Chenal Circle that he could not make the payments on. Eventually, the utility companies turned off their electricity and water. Karl and Marilyn lived in this huge house, bathing and washing with the water from a neighbor’s hose. Occasionally, that same neighbor would invite them over for a hot shower.
After much wrangling, with Karl appearing pro se (as his own attorney), the house was repossessed. Marilyn, tired of the chaos of the “Life with Karl” daily drama, filed for divorce.
By 1997, things were again at rock bottom. Karl had filed for a second bankruptcy to avoid both creditors and paying Marilyn a property settlement. Even though she entered marriage with a house, it is not clear that she left with anything.
Yet another victim of the Karl Express to Glory train of financial gain. Casting about for something to do, Karl became very interested in telecommunications and the Internet. It is not clear whether he or cronies set up the e*Capbank and the GlobalAxxess sites.
Both were part of an attempt to secure funding to take over failing telecommunications companies. Karl intended to purchase these companies with OPM and meld them into a worldwide conglomerate with himself at the helm. The deals failed, because despite all the effort expended (i.e. a Delaware LLC., an Arkansas corporation, an Antigua trust), Karl could not find the money to make the deals happen.
Actually, there was another problem. Karl’s proposal to save Global Crossing violated a number of pension and other agreements. The fact that Karl lacked the experience to run a huge conglomerate was just a little fly in the ointment compared to his finances. Throughout the 2000, 2001 and 2002, Karl worked his GlobalAxxess, Commaxxess activities.
He never acquired any of the companies that he targeted and Chiaro has not confirmed that he had any relationship with them. There is a judgment of $2 million against Karl by UUnet. As of this date, it is not clear whether they have any way to collect on this judgment. According to Arkansas’s Secretary of State, Department of Corporations, GlobalAxxess and Commaxxess have had their charters revoked. In Delaware, the names for GlobalAxxess Holding Inc is available. That’s a good indication that the state revoked the company’s charter.
When asked about how he jumped from real estate to telecommunications, Karl explained that he learned all this high finance as a broker. A search of the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) yielded no - absolutely no - license for a Karl W. Schwarz, a Karl W.B. Schwarz or derivatives thereof.
Flash forward to another Karl venture circa 2002. Reichenbach Group, LLC, a publishing company formed by T.B Patterson, would publish Karl’s book, “One Way Ticket To Crawford, Texas.” When the book was available, the newly christened, Karl W. B. Schwarz began to make the rounds of the Internet sites relating to 9/11.
He wrote a series of articles entitled, “Pop Goes the Bush Mythology.” Doubtless, Karl’s energetic evangelizing of this topic revealed many fundamental questions about 9/11. It galvanized people’s interest. Karl sold these ideas as he sold so many of his schemes.
Unable to resist self-aggrandizement, Karl tried to add gravity to his efforts, by portraying himself as a big player within the Republican National Committee (RNC). A search of the FEC records at Political Money Line turned up no political contributions made by Karl Schwarz or his company Patmos.
He further embellishes his image with his claims of being the CEO of a nanotechnology firm, Patmos. Actually, many of his trips to speak about 9/11 have had a dual purpose; he is also seeking investors for Patmos.
Interestingly enough, many of Karl’s targeted investors are women, wealthy women. Those who have watched him in action opine that Karl’s goal is to find an extremely wealthy woman who can keep him and his dreams in the lap of the luxury that he’d like to believe he was born to. Patmos has been his vehicle for gaining access to these women. There are many of them, too. Deborah on the west coast, Paula in Georgia, Amy, a nurse in Canada, to name a few.
Like so many Schwarz ventures, Patmos is more idea than reality. Searches of international and national patent databases conducted via the US Patent office yield no intellectual property under the name Patmos, Patmos Nanotechnologies, Karl W.B. Schwarz, Karl Schwarz, Carl Schwarz, Bill Schwarz or any combinations thereof.
Searches of pending patents also yield no results. There are patents under Karl Q. Schwarz and Benjamin Schwarz, but not only do these not share the name of Patmos’ CEO, but the patents are not “assigned” to the company. Searches of nanotechnology sites and postings left there indicate that in the small community of materials science, Karl Schwarz is not a recognized name.
In Arkansas, where Patmos is incorporated, the department of securities has never heard of Patmos, which means there are no shareholders.
So, considering that Karl W.B. Schwarz is as hollow a man as Dubya, why does he hate him so? An educated guess might be that Dubya hasn’t been caught and Karl has. Both have deceived and betrayed, but one man was a fortunate son whose wealth and familial connections obviated his need to ever pay the piper for his fiscal, moral, ethical and personal misdeeds. The other son wasn’t so fortunate.
Author's note: Many people were interviewed for this article. Public government sources provided information on licensing, business licenses, court cases and other aspects of the story. Some information was also gleaned from the web.

Try to imagine that whilst we are enjoying the facinating trip brought upon by high echelon words and creative literary prowess, that the real message here is still quite simple. Mr Schwarz is bringing up interesting conepts that we have all "thought" about and we thank him for that and hope this angle brings him success (similarly to Michael Moore). Having said that, Id sooner buy girl scout cookies from a grown woman than invest in any ventures he was selling. But good luck with your Photonics inspired nanotechnology anyways, Mr Schwarz.. and please try to gain perspective by listening to the story of a truly homeless Iraqi veteran ... unless you can find a real VietNam vet who is still talking sensibly.
